The home of affordable biomass boilers and solar heating solutions. We supply and install a range of wood pellet boilers, wood chip boilers and log boilers, plus wood fuel to power your biomass heating solution. Government incentives available.
Domestic biomass boilers will typically contain internal storage which will keep your wood pellets or chips, and then they will be fed into the main compartment to be burnt and generate energy. Your water will traditionally be stored in a buffer tank, which then distributes hot water to your central heating system and your taps.
Biomass boilers work exactly like conventional fossil fuel boilers except that they burn biomass fuel, most commonly wood pellets. The pellets can be delivered in bulk by tanker where they are blown into a storage hopper or tank, or they can be delivered in bags. The wood pellets are fed automatically from the store via a vacuum system, auger (screw mechanism), or gravity.
A wood pellet boiler includes an ignition element that burns the pellets, an auger that feeds wood pellets to the burner in doses and a hopper or storage bin. These systems are just as convenient as fossil fuel fired boilers, although there are some fundamental differences.
ETA Heiztechnik Biomass Boilers. Commercial Biomass is a registered and certified installer of ETA biomass boilers, the UK’s bestselling biomass boilers. These domestic biomass boilers can burn either wood pellets, chipped wood, logs, or even miscanthus (a type of elephant grass), while some can burn a combination of these fuels.
There is a vast range of biomass boilers and other biomass heating systems currently available, from fully automated boilers to small pellet boiler and wood boiler. The section on types of biomass boilers tells you all about what is on offer, small to large and how their components come together to offer you a range of heating solutions.
A stove burns logs or pellets to heat a single room - and may be fitted with a back boiler to provide water heating as well. A boiler burns logs, pellets or chips, and is connected to a central heating and hot water system. A wood-fuelled biomass boiler could save you up to £960 a year compared to an old electric heating system.

A heat storage system is an important component of modern wood boiler systems. By absorbing extra heat generated during the burn cycle, heat storage allows wood boilers to operate with less tending, lower emissions, andhigher efficiency. Heavy tank insulation holds stored heat, allowing for 24 hours or more between burn cycles.
From October 2012 the government’s Renewable Heat Incentive scheme (RHI) will also be open to domestic installations commissioned after 15th July 2009. Take a look at our example below to see how the RHI could benefit you. Example: A modern 5 bedroom home with 2 bathrooms installing a biomass wood pellet boiler to replace an oil equivalent.
In the video below, SuperHomer Mark Brown shows us the plumbing and 500 litre buffer tank installed for his wood pellet boiler. Mark chose this biomass boiler for the five bedroom house in South Buckinghamshire where he lives with wife Liya and their children.

Domestic Wood Pellet Boilers. Domestic wood-pellet boilers are now extremely popular, particularly with new-build properties, because they are so cost and energy efficient. They vary in size and levels of automation depending on the size of property and the amount of energy you need to generate to heat your home.
A biomass boiler burns clean dry wood pellets to reduce harmful PM2.5 particulates. They burn at around 90% efficiency so energy loss is minimised. These boilers produce hot water which can then be used to heat your home via traditional or fan assisted radiators.
The pellet boiler will fire up and turn off as heat is needed throughout your home or as domestic hot water is needed. Advantages of Wood Pellet Boilers. Some homeowners have installed back-yard wood boilers that tie into their home’s existing heat distribution system–but not everyone wants the extra work of stacking and loading wood every
Wood pellet biomass boilers are simply boilers that run solely on burning wood pellets and can provide all of your heating and hot water requirements. They are the most popular type in the UK and pellet heaters can be used effectively to heat domestic buildings all the way up to large factories.
Domestic Biomass Boiler . If you are interested in getting a domestic biomass boiler our team can offer you the very best rates. Biomass-energy is starting to become one of the most popular forms of clean, renewable energy that is available.
Modern, biomass boiler systems mainly use wood in the form of pellets, chips or logs to power domestic boilers. Wood pellets are currently the most popular as they are cleaner and easier to maintain, resulting in less ash. Wood isn’t the only source used in modern biomass boilers and other forms of biomass, including cereal, are being used today.
Right from the beginning in 1961 Fröling have specialised in the efficient use of wood as an energy source. Today the name stands for modern biomass heating technologies. The firewood, wood chip and pellet boilers ranging from small domestic to industrial scale are successfully used across many European countries and further afield.
Biomass Boilers MCS approved condensing wood pellet boilers with efficiencies up to 97%, easy installation, straightforward daily operation and low maintenance. Available in outputs from 5-36kW.
The Fröling Energy Tank is too small for use on its own with cord wood boilers, but is great for smaller pellet boilers. Used as a domestic hot water tank, the Fröling Energy Tank also offers high performance even with low supply water temperatures.
